oakley thumps.jpg There are some that say that sunglasses and MP3 players should never have gotten it on, while we feel anything that can be feasibly be gadgetised should be . No matter how stupid it is. This is the depraved depth of our obsession. The original Oakley Thump sunglasses with in-built MP3 player were ugly beasts. Owners may have well just thrown caution to the wind and worn the damn Star Trek uniform in public because they screamed GEEK that loud to anyone looking at you. The new Oakley Thump 2 shades though, are a damn sight prettier and will no doubt keep our visible geek tells to a minimum. They support MP3, WMA and iTunes AAC tracks and tunes can be transferred via USB. Here’s the first decent review we’ve seen so we won’t bore you with the nitty gritty. We will say that we really like the flip feature that lets you wear them backwards indoors, so you don’t break your neck or look stupid wearing sunglasses in the house. We also like that they are cheaper than the originals with the 256Mb, 512Mb and 1Gb versions costing £200, £240 and £300, respectively.
