Boil kettle via SMS. Life don't get much better than this October 11, 2005

Man I totally love living in the digital age. You wouldn’t see something this cool in the bronze age now would you? I present the SMS Kettle titled “ReadyWhenUR” from PG Tips and Orange. The name alone is genius but there’s more! This kettle has a radio receiver that allows you to send a text message to the kettle to let it know when you demand your tea/boiling water/black-tar opium. Of course a satellite will take your SMS, and throw it back to the kettle so it gets boiling. Word has it that the kettle will go on sale in January and the makers drew inspiration from Wallace & Gromit. Cheeky. Oh yeah, your remote tea-making gadget will cost £100. Still, it's cheaper than kids.
