Hunt Down Radiation October 20, 2005

As you read this piece be aware that it is being sent from a notebook, from the top of a mountain, seven miles from civilisation, I’m freezing my nads off and trying to hit the damn send key from 12 feet away with a really long stick. Not as easy as it sounds. You see I just discovered the Electrosmog Detector. It might look like the arse end of a hair dryer but this baby opened my eyes to the dangers of electro- magnetic fields (EMF). Dangerous microwave radiation is all around us and this thing can detect it. It picks it up from DECT phones, mobile phones, wireless networks, Bluetooth UMTS, mobile phone masts, microwave technology of any sort and baby alarms. According to the Swedish government electromagnetic hypersensitivity (EHS) is real and affects 3.1% of its population – 200,000 – with fatigue, headaches and skin problems. Thank God, I know how they feel! I thought it was the booze. Anyway, once you detect these waves what can you do? Well you can cut yourself off from civilisation and head for the hills with your trusty Swiss Army knife or, and isn’t this fortunate, you can buy some special shielding fabrics from the same company that make the detector. At £40 a metre, you can deck out your home in specially shielded curtains or linings. So, your choices are: protected and broke or irradiated and flush? Bring on the waves, dude.
