We love our CRAAAAW keyboards and Part Trois of the CRAAAAAW saga is no exception. This keyboard is CRAAAAAAAAW-tastic.
This keyboard, called, officially, the Wolf Claw (type 3) Devour, will be available in February and is round. That’s all the information we have right now, but I leave you with an exercise for today: answer the phone with by saying “Hello, this is the CRAAAAAAAAW!” This could be bigger than that “Jimmy Carter has a posse” stuff.

Philips Ambilight TV Now with Surround Lighting January 8, 2006

That weird Ambilight FlatTV by Philips got an upgrade at CES this year. If you didn’t already know, Ambilight technology basically uses ambient light around the screen of the TV to match what you’re watching. So it’s a backlight system that you can customize, to create “a deeper, more immersive viewing environment.” Right. So this year, the new Ambilight FlatTV comes in Full Surround, which seems to mean a four-sided model, with sizes ranging from 37 to 50 inches. The Full Surround uses lighting on all sides of the TV—and is liberally being called “surround-sight.” Prices start at around £1,200 and go to £2,000. Hallucinogenic drugs not included.
Samsung’s 6-in-1 Digital Cameras January 8, 2006

Yeah, so Samsung has the biggest LCD ever. Woop woop. I actually like their smaller side at this year’s CES. Especially the SC-MS25 and the SC-MS20 6-in-1 digital still cameras. Both of these babies come with MPEG-4 video and voice recording, music playback, data storage, and web cam capability, as well as taking pretty damn good digital still pics. And both are 6 megapixel models with a 3X optical zoom lens and 3” LCD. The MS25 has 512MB of built-in memory while the MS20 only has 64MB, but both look pretty too, which seems to be a trend here. Oh, and they also come with a SD/MMC slot for increased storage capacity. Look for the MS25 in May for about £300 and the MS10 in February for £250.

CES gives us a chance to see all the fancy audio equipment you don’t get to ogle very often (unless you hit one of those pretentious stores where the geeky workers are more excited about their equipment than ever, ever getting a date). So it was nice to see that you could get such huge bass from a small(ish) subwoofer, rather than one of those tremendous housings, with the new Cascade Model Twelve by Infinity. This baby still gives you all the sound you want, but comes with a 10-inch woofer that works in harmony with dual 10-inch passive radiators—all in a compact, sleek enclosure. And for the high-end brand Infinity, the £550 price tag isn’t as bad as it sounds. Comes in high gloss black, high-gloss silver and cherry wood veneer.
Kodak and Motorola Join Hands For Better Cameraphones January 8, 2006

Ok, here’s a pretty good partnership for ya. Looks like Motorola and Kodak have have played nice and decided to come together for a new “mobile-imaging experience.” What that means to us is better imaging in our Motorola phones.
The collaboration covers licensing, sourcing, software integration, marketing, and extends to co-development of image-rich devices with joint engineering teams. For example, Kodak expects to supply its CMOS sensors to Motorola for use in its camera phones, as well as in any future devices the companies co-develop. Additionally, the cooperation to seamlessly integrate millions of Motorola mobile devices with Kodak home printers, retail kiosks, and the KODAK EASYSHARE Gallery will finally provide an answer to those consumers who desire a quick and easy way to get their images out of the phone for sharing with friends and family.
Expect to see these products sometime this year.
