Ready to spend £420 on earplug headphones? Then step up to the plate, ladies and gentlemen, and witness the Shure E500s, guaranteed to grace your ears with some stunning noise cancellation while smashing your piggy bank into a thousand pieces. The company calls them a new paradigm etc, etc, but the reviews have generally been good for previous Shure earplugs. Referred to as Sound Isolating Earphones, they do just that, fitting right inside your ear to create a seal and isolating a large amount of outside noise – up to 37dB. The earphones also boast some cute audio trickery, housing three miniature speakers - one tweeter and two woofers – to present a robust sound stage. They come a new Push-To-Hear facility which activates an external speaker and mutes the sound so that you can explain to puzzled cops just why you look so damned happy on a crowded commuter train at 7am in the morning. I want to see earphones.
I want this
OK, behold those migic earphones!
I was lucky enough to lay my hands on those beautifull earphones.
So slick looking.
If you need to see specs, you can find them anywhere.
So loud, so refined!
And the built in mic just cuts the deal.
It doesn't actually mute the sound, but reduces it to -3db, while refining and clarifying the sound if the person you're speaking to, and cutting away all un-intelligible noises from your environment..
Simply, amazing !
