Ok, this phone from Sony Ericsson is actually waterproof, that is, it can receive phone calls underwater. The SO902iWP+ features a 1.3 megapixel camera and an MP3 player. Recently demoed in Japan, the phone would make a fairly solid addition to your gadget purse if you find yourself dropping your cellphone in sinks, toilets or getting wet in the shower as your uncle tries to prevent you from passing out because of one too many shots of jager. Oops.

As great as the idea of a truly waterproof (as opposed to merely water-resistant) moblie, there's no word on whether or not it'll make it to the UK. Never mind that mobile carriers would lose some money because their customers no longer have to replace accidentally destroyed moblies.

Why has it taken so long? (man walked on the moon years and years ago!) I would like one of these very much as my Motorola V3r is now greatly disliked (one splash and its out of action for 24 hours) Very few waterproof phones are available in the UK and the plastic bag method is no use for flip-phones.

Hmmmm...Interesting :)

Is it available in China now? If yes, how can we get it and what's the price and the detail specification?

I would love one of these
because i have the worst luck with phones and water... are they available
in ireland and if so where can i get one
