The gadget mag T3 has a hands on with the Archos 604 PMP we posted about last week.
Compared to the Archos AV500, the 604 has much better controls. Each key on the right hand side can activate two functions depending on which side you rock it to. The screen is also "much sharper and glossier". In addition to the improved UI—with faster menus and button fading effects—there's a kickstand in the back and USB charging. All this stuff makes the 604 more portable and vastly improved compared to the AV500.

Does anyone know if archos have cured that dreadful 16x9 software glitch in the AV 500.
As many professional cameramen have found the 16x9 option is a mess and crops the pictures headroom so badly that it cant be used for recording shots.
They have finally admitted to one cameraman that the 16x9 option in the menue does not work and they have no intention of updating this software in the 500.

Can someone help a fellow Archos owner out? Where can I get some great video content living in the UK - without going illegal? Are there any good download stores so I can actually use my new AV 604? The google videos are all terrible.

Thanks - just downloaded Miami Vice from BT Vision download store. Can't believe it is BT! The film looks great and easy to do!
Need a larger selection though.
