Sony has been quick to quash rumours from a Spanish Web site that alleged it was looking at delaying the already delayed European launch of the PS3 by a further two months. This would have pushed the delivery date back to May and most users over the edge. In a statement, the company said:
“Any reports of a further delay to the launch of the PS3 in Europe are categorically not true. We are still fully committed to a March 2007 launch date. Ken Kutaragi has not done any media briefings since the Tokyo Game Show, and the story is not true.”

BT Unleashes 'Spam-Buster'. Woo-Hoo! October 15, 2006
READ MORE Broadband , Laptops , Online , PC , Software
If your Net experience is anything like mine then you start each day by downloading around 70 emails, 69 of which turn out to be spam, phishing mails, stock alerts, Viagra marketing, meds and - obviously unneeded - penis extensions. Ahem.
BT is apparently miffed about the whole thing and has set out to destroy all spam on contact with a fully automated spam buster designed to tackle professional spammers and botnets. Gartner estimates that 80% of all email is spam – that’s a hefty 6.5 billion emails a day. Aimed at appeasing its own broadband customers the only question has to be why the hell it has taken so long? And shouldn’t all providers be doing more? The system is based on Content Forensics from StreamShield Networks which will scans millions of emails a day.
“In a world-first, we’re turning the tables on professional spammers and cutting off this scourge of the internet at source”, said Stratis Scleparis, CTO at BT Retail. “We are delighted to work with StreamShield Networks on this innovative approach which both tracks down and reduces spam messages on our network, and at the same time helps our customers overcome the threat of infection by bots.”
