Zune User Interface: Runs Like Butter November 8, 2006

So now that you've seen how fast you can beam songs from one Zune player to another, we're gonna drill through the menu system so you can see just how smooth this baby runs in person. Along with Gawker's video guru Richard Blakeley, we hit everything from display settings to the Zune's radio interface. We experienced a brief pause when flipping through photo albums, but it was nothing annoyingly long. And if you're wondering about the techno soundtrack pumping in the background, we'll have a party recap later on today.

Could you hold it at a more annoying angle, thou numbnuts?!

A 30Gb PMP is an utter joke these days, which is why I won't be getting the Zune, even though it and the interface look quite good. I need an mp3 player NOW, so my money's going to Creative for their 60Gb ZVM. Also, this tying people to a particular music shop through the player I no like. Looking forward to Songbird...

That's the same interface an Empeg in-car mp3 player has (or has had since 1999).

I wonder if Sigmatel have any patents on it?
