OK, it’s no surprise that downloadable PSOne games for the PSP have been available for download in Japan etc. but now the service has been launched officially in the US.
Even so, there are just five to choose from, each costing around £4 a pop. This is the line up: Cool Boarders, Crash Bandicoot, Hot Shots Golf 2, Syphon Filter, and Tekken 2. They are for sale via the Playstation Store and Sony, along with third party publishers, plan to add a few more to the list in the coming months.
However, early reports are that all is not well in Emulation Land. Apparently the games run slow and, with the likes of Tekken 2, they gobble more than 500MB of your expensive Memory Stick.
Jump now and watch a video of one in action and make up your mind. -Martin Lynch
