I have a lot of time for the Lego Mindstorms robots. Not only do you not need any real engineering skill to build one, but they give you an excuse and an alibi for continuing to play with Lego long after you really should have stopped.

But once you have your bot built, it would be nice to able to do more with them than let them amble about the kitchen bashing to presses, right? We could all do with the Divx Lego Sumo Robotic Championships 2007, then.
This is its third outing and if you want to see just what your Lego bot can do, then this is the place. One ring, seven bots, no mercy. It’s not fast fun and some bots just seem to forget why they are there in the first place but it’s worth watching the video here. Geekathon.
