Taking a page from Sony’s recent hard-line pricing strategy for the PS3, Microsoft has no plans to cut prices on the Xbox 360. The rumour of a ‘spoiler’ cut just before the UK and European launch of the PS3 has been rife but has now been kicked into touch. Chris Lewis, regional VP of the EMEA home and entertainment division at Microsoft says:
“There are no plans [for a cut]. We’re offering outstanding value and choice – especially when you compare us to our soon-to-be competitor,” he told MCV.
The Xbox 360 is already £200 cheaper than the PS3, which already makes it fiscally more attractive. Still, cheaper or not, Microsoft has been forced to lower its sales estimates from 13-15 million 360 units by June to 12 million. Even so, I’m not sure £20-30 off is going to make that much of a difference to PS3 sales really.-Martin Lynch

I hope that MS will follow UPnP and DLNA standards.
I'm not a player of the 360...yet. But a price drop, of at least 50 pounds would be good, if not more. With such a huge drop in sales, i think its time microsoft start lowering to the nearest hundred
man i hope drop the xbox 360 price by around 70 or 80 euro's here in ireland when that crapy ps3 launches as the ps3 is berely able to software emulate only up to 100 ps2 games and not the 1200 that was promised so screw you sony and all you sony lovers.
