Apple has caught a break this week as court action with Cisco over the iPhone name has been temporarily suspended. The reason given is to help them “reach agreement on trademark rights and interoperability”.
Cynics might read that to mean Cisco having more time to jack up the settlement price – and why not?
With a potential 50 per cent mark-up on each iPhone – development costs aside – Apple can probably afford a few bob more.-Martin Lynch
