If the cost of printing photos or having them developed is getting too much, you can always get all hi-tech and opt for a digital photo frame. Philips has announced two nice looking new 9in models, the modern looking 9FF2M4 (£200) and the wood-finish 9FF2CWO (£180).
OK, so cheap they are not. There is a USB slot for transferring photos on the internal memory from a camera or PC, as well as a built-in memory card slot compatible with SD, MMC, Memory Stick and CompactFlash.
You can place the frame horizontally or vertically, whichever one makes you look thinner, while photos can be displayed for different amounts of time. Like I said, cute but not cheap, and until we start getting frames that are a whole lot cheaper, people are going to still go photo printing route.-Martin Lynch

These things aren't new, and there are several options. In fact there's one on ebuyer for £34 at the moment. I'm sure you get what you pay for though. I'm actually waiting for a good one with Wifi that I can push either local or flickr images to, rather than have to transfer by usb/card.
I miss wireless option and UPnP compliant media streaming to slideshow all photos from Your home media server ;)

I want more!
I got the 7" Philips frame at the weekend, and it's excellent. Great resolution, wide viewing angle, worth every penny.
I'm thinking about buying the i-mate Momento 100, or the MF8104 Premium - the latter has a much higher resolution so holds the number one on my wish list for now.
Re price, I've read reviews (particularly some really funny ones on Amazon) and you should probably give the cheaper ones a miss unless you're looking for a cheap gimmick because that's all you're likely to get!
Anyone looking at buying this model should first check out the 'ROCK 8 Inch' digital photo frame. Its made in the same factory in China as the Philips one apparantly, and then just rebadged. It is also quite a bit cheaper! It has 720x480 pixel resolution, MPEG, MP3, AVI support, speakers, etc.
