Yes, for good or bad, digital photo frames are here to stay it seems. Mustek has joined the fray with two frames, the pricey PF-A700A at £140 and the less expensive PF-D800 at £80. Of course, these are cheap compared to recent frames from Philips, covered here.

Ironically, that extra £60 for the PF-A700A gets you a smaller LCD. What a bargain! That’s right, for £140 you get a 7in LCD while the cheapy model gets an 8in one. Both frames have in-built speakers so that you can assign songs to certain photographs, which I find just a little bit icky. You can even use them as standalone MP3 players as they come with an earphone jack – wow, how cool will you look jogging with your photo frame?

Resolution is 800 x 480 on the 8in model and 480 x 234 on more expensive model but that’s because it allows for playback of a greater variety of video media, including MPEG 1, 2 and 4 video. Both come with a remote control.-Martin Lynch

Why does it have an old ring-pull stuck to the back of it?
