From rivalry to silliness in one short flight is as good a description of British Airways’ latest way to beat Virgin in the air. Picture the “I’m an Apple/I’m a PC” ads and then multiply the pettiness factor by a thousand.
So, are BA flights cheaper or are there more of them to great new destinations? Nope. BA’s latest secret weapon in the battle has been to edit out a brief appearance of Richard Branson in the in-flight version of Bond-flick, Casino Royale.
They also edit out a quick clip of a Virgin plane’s tail. A spokesperson defended the move by telling the BBC that: “We do reserve the right to edit films, and many films are edited in some way on board.”
Yeah, just usually for sex, violence, tasty language or if a movie's length interferes with the serving of the in-flight muck they call food. Talk about petty.-Martin Lynch

As I recall, a bunch of airlines also edited out the line about Qantas being the only airline never to have had a crash in "Rain Man".
This is kind of sad.
