Memorex Makes Air Dusters Harder to Huff May 28, 2007
Now you probably didn't know this—because you're a normal human being—but kids apparently like to huff cans of compressed air. Boy, children are really high tech these days. Back when we were small we stuck with markers, glue, and chalk, but now they're getting all futuristic with compressed air.
That's why Memorex just released a new line of Air Duster with "bitterant", which makes huffing these things unpleasant. Hopefully this additive doesn't affect normal dusting, just direct sniffing, or else people are going to be stocking up on old-school dusters. Crazy ass kids. Get off my—oh wait, I'm too poor to have a lawn. – Jason Chen

I realize I could go to hell for making a Virtual Boy reference, but the idea of strapping some flashing red LEDs to your eyes while sound pulses through your headphones calls up all kinds of red/green-tinged memories. Supposedly the Brain Machine makes your brain waves sync up so that you feel "totally wonderful," but the flashbacks beg to differ. – Matt Buchanan

With all that spare capacity, PS3 game makers are looking to boost sales by adding high-def movies to their Blu-ray games discs. Midway has announced plans to release a special edition of Stranglehold, complete with a HD version of John Woo’s classic slow-mo actioner, Hard Boiled.
The new version will – in the US at least – will cost an extra $10 at $70 – but is a good move that could spark other game makers to throw in free-ish movies. The Stanglehold game – also directed by John Woo – allows players to don the persona of Chow Yun Fat’s Inspector Tequila and fill those baddies with lead from those famous double handguns.-Martin Lynch

Panasonic has launched a new, compact digital snapper with a whopping 12.2 megapixels and the unusual ability to record high-definition video.
The new Lumix DMC- FX100 arrives in July and significantly boosts the company’s current high-end offering, which tops out at 7.2 megapixels. It can take photos in 4:3 mode and there are also four 16:9 widescreen modes with image resolution up to 4000 x 2248 pixels.
