star_wars_dolls.jpg It’s 30th Anniversary time for the Star Wars franchise and so you can expect a lot of related junk to fill the Net in the coming months. However, few of them are as left field as the Star Wars Chubbies, a sci-fi version of those Russian Babushka dolls.

There are six dolls in all and inside each is a previous/alternate version of the character[s], depicting how they’ve changed. For instance, lift off Darth Vader and you’ll find Hayden Christensen's constipated-looking ‘Anakin’ [remarkably accurate, I think] and within him is the precocious little fecker, Anakin Jnr., who should have died in that desert podrace. You get the idea.

Obi-wan and C3PO do something similar while the Emperor doll is a Sith Special, inside which you will find Count Dooku and the lady killer himself, Darth Maul. Damn weird, I’ll agree, but a bargain at £7.95 each. Darth Vader costs £9.95 though because, well, you know, artificial lungs don’t come cheap. Watch one in action after the jump.-Martin Lynch
