Are you a workaholic who travels a lot yet somehow survives without a Blackberry? Well then, this suitcase is for you. It's got a built-in desk, so you can bust out your laptop and work from the terminal when your flight is delayed. Sure, it's awkward, but maybe, uh, you don't have thumbs or something, making typing on a Blackberry impossible.
I bet you didn't think of that, did you? Insensitive jerks. –Adam Frucci

This weekend in Korea a robot acted as the Master of Ceremonies in a wedding, confirming to family members of the bride that the whole thing was a mistake and she should have married a police officer instead of a robotics engineer.
The robot, named Tiro, spoke in a "sweet female voice" as to not creep people out more than necessary, and wasn't the only bot involved in the ceremony. Others lead guests to their seats and "performed," whatever that means. The couple now holds two world records: the first marriage MC'd by a robot, and the dorkiest wedding ever. Congrats, you crazy kids. –Adam Frucci

France Bed has a product that will assure many a better night's sleep—their Snore Pillow (our name) is a memory foam pillow enhanced with a sensor that detects snoring. So during a night of heavy allergies or drinking, instead of keeping your partner up all night, the Snore Pillow will gently vibrate (waking you?) to stop the sleeping symphony.

The Froggetmee chopsticks may not be electronic, but they are a gadget nonetheless. Combining chopsticks and spoons into one utensil, the culinary world is calling the Froggetmee the biggest breakthrough in efficient eating technologies since the spork.
I've been wanting a pair of reusable chopsticks and these run a reasonable $8. What do you think? Should I lean toward practicality, or a just pick some up with a badass dragon design that I'll then enlarge for my car to match? – Mark Wilson

These GeekPark figures may look like cheap McDonald's toys, but they are actually fully-functional webcams. Capturing resolutions up to 1280x960 at 30fps, each little person has movable appendages and...well that's about where the extra functionality starts/stops.
Coming in four colors, these $22 webcams just tease us with their useless color identities that in no way promote the assembly of a giant robot to fight evil. Oh well. – Mark Wilson

It’s wacky survey time and according to the latest stats – apply that pinch of salt now – around 7 million Brits wouldn’t mind splashing out for the iPhone. That’s the conclusion from analyst bunch M:Metrics, which found that 56% of British mobile phone users and 64% of American users are aware of the iPhone. Around 30 per cent of the UK number – around 7 million – are keen on owning one, despite the potentially high price tag and lack of a launch date.
According to said Paul Goode, vice president and senior analyst, from M:Metrics’ London office:
“We expected that mobile users in the UK would be more inclined to buy an expensive device, since smartphones are twice as popular in the UK as in the US. These figures are very impressive, although respondents in the UK were not presented with a launch price or any restriction of mobile phone carrier as in the US.”
He added:
“It's also interesting to note that in both geographies, 64 percent of those with a strong interest in buying an iPhone already own an MP3 player, compared to a market average of 30 percent for other music phones owners, so it will be interesting to see at what rate consumers replace their digital music player with an iPhone.”

HD DVD has just received a royal kick in the nuts from the hobnailed boots of the Blockbuster movie rental empire in the US. The group has put its faith almost completely in the Blu-ray HD movie format and said it's going to roll out Blu-ray movie rentals to 1,700 stores by the middle of next month.
Originally, HD DVD and Bu-ray were on offer in 250 of its stores and, while HD DVD flicks will still be offered in those 250 stores, Bu-ray has gotten the green light for the big push.
"We intend to meet the demands of our customers and based on the trends we're seeing, we're expanding our Blu-ray inventory to ensure our stores reflect the right level of products," said Matthew Smith, SVP mrchandising for Blockbuster. “While it is still too early to say which high-definition format will become the industry standard, we will continue to closely monitor customer rental patterns both at our stores and online, so we can adjust our inventory mix accordingly and ensure that Blockbuster is offering customers the most convenient access to the movies they want, in the format they want.”
As the man above stated, it’s too early to say which format will win but this is a big blow to HD DVD, which has been staging somewhat of a comeback in recent weeks.-Martin Lynch

Sony has officially apologised to the Church of England for the use of Manchester Cathedral in its 1950’s alien sci-fi shoot-em-up, Resistance: Fall of Man. The church recently had a holy fit when a virtual version of the church was used as a backdrop for some good old-fashioned alien hunting with really big guns.
A letter from the European president of Sony Computer Entertainment Europe, David Reeves, said:
“It was not our intention to cause offence by using a representation of Manchester Cathedral…. if we have done so we sincerely apologise.”
The Church replied in kind:
“We acknowledge the admission by Sony that the building in the game is Manchester Cathedral. We thank Sony for the apology they have made. However, we do not move from the position that we are against violence and especially the gun violence seen in this portrayal of the Cathedral. In the meeting with Sony [planned in the coming weeks] we will discuss our outstanding demands, how this game came to be produced and where the images of the Cathedral came from.”
It also wants its original demands addressed i.e. withdraw or alter the game, and pay us lots of cash for our local education programmes. What happened to forgiveness? Big business could learn a lot about mercenary business tactics from the Church. -Martin Lynch
