unison i-x5.jpg If you’re in the market for some pricey, but quality, iPod speakers then Cygnett wants your cash for its shiny Unison i-X5 speaker system.

Clad in glossy piano black, the speakers should fit nicely in your living room with your glossy piano black HDTV and glossy piano black single speaker surround sound system.

The speakers boast “superior cone bass drivers for deep bass, silk dome tweeters for smooth highs and built-in power amplifiers” to really add ‘oomph’ and clarity to your tracks. The speakers are rated at 70W apiece, which is more than enough for all but the biggest of rooms.

The dock charges as you listen, there are two audio ports and a port for hooking up a separate subwoofer if you really want your neighbours ceiling to collapse.

The enclosures are built from hand-crafted wood and they weigh in at a reassuring 10KG. The Unison i-X5 costs £250 but you can get it for £220 online, and comes with a 5-year guarantee.-Martin Lynch
