Not all the iPhones went to fat fanatics begging for food. Some, were actually bought with charity in mind.
Spike Lee bought the first iPhone to go on sale at the Apple NY store to help the Keep A Child Alive charity. The auction winner also gets a personalised voicemail greeting from Alicia Keys, a couple of Jawbone Bluetooth headsets, two return flights and VIP Tickets to the charity event where they will be given the phone by St. Bono himself.
Watch the video of Spike arriving [I say 'arriving' because charity volunteers did most of the 4-day queueing] and picking up the most expensive iPhone so far.-Martin Lynch
