ety8_all1.jpg Etymotic is claiming a world’s first this morning with the launch of the Ety8, the first wireless Bluetooth in-ear earphones. And at 5p under £200, you better believe you’ll be paying for the privilege.

Designed especially for iPod owners [they will also work with any MP3 player though], the Ety8 feature the 8Mate iPod adapter, providing two-way communication with the latest iPods players. Users can control volume, track selection and play/pause functions, and read settings on the iPod display. OK, you might look like you have a couple of dominoes stuck on your ears but the company says the phones are completely supported by the in-ear canal, making them comfortable to wear for 7-10 hours - which is the claimed in-use battery life too.

Etymotic claims the Ety8 have the highest sound accuracy of any wireless earphones. Still, £200? Check the tech specs after the jump. -Martin Lynch

These look really stupid... two little square blocks hanging off your head would be really funny to see. Not to mention that they're going to keep falling out of people's ears.
