iphone-unlocked-01.jpg That’s the latest in the iPhone saga. The iPhonesimfree group of industrious fellows have announced, and proven, their claim to have created the first and only full software hack for the iPhone.

This software-driven SIM unlocking service means that users don’t have to open the phone or resort to soldering - a sure way to invalidate that warranty. The group is currently proving its claims to many leading IT sites and plans to start selling the service soon. This means that UK fanatics won’t have to wait until Christmas for their Apple fix. According to the site, the key benefits are:

* Chose the provider you want, use any SIM card from any network provider in any country
* No more outrageous roaming charges. When traveling simply pick the local provider of your choice and change your SIM card.
* Poor network coverage no longer an issue, use the network provider best suited to your region
* Save money! A favorable exchange rate makes for excellent value for money when importing

I have just seen the Nokia Iphone Killer - the N00.
not sure if its a goer but ssaw it on product matrix at a branding agency and if it is then oh, my god!

Glossy screen as per iphone, phone menu and toggle switch at one end - all gloss black plastic. A colour polymer housing that slides open ala sidekick to reveal mini keypad.

Nice accents and some nice little design details based on the fashion series handsets from a while back. If they can keep it clean and change the surrounding housing from Khaki (er why?) then it could be a really nice product.

keep em peeled for its release. - they are prepping the marketing now.... this isnt a hoax.
