Evesham has updated its all-in-one surround sound TV stand, the Sound Stage X1, with the X2 – which looks virtually identical.
The idea is like having a one-speaker surround system like that from Philips and Denon, but which costs a lot less and doubles up as a TV stand too which can hide any unsightly wires. All you need to do is hook it up to a DVD player, TV or console and you are ready to rock.
Inside the industrial looking X2 is a sound processor and an amplifier, two 30W subwoofers, a 20W centre speaker and four 15W surround speakers. A new LCD display at the front – looking like an iPod, show’s the graphic equaliser and sound being output. It comes with a one-year warranty and costs a shade under £300. -Martin Lynch
