Digital photo frames are almost as common as iPod docks these days which is why Toshiba has decided that aiming for the style-end of the market with its first offering is the only way it might stick out in this increasingly crowded space.
The 7in DPF7XSE digital photo and video frame is certainly a looker with its aluminium plate backing. It has a native 800 x 480 resolution display and sports two 1Watt stereo speakers for playing back MP3 and WMA audio files as well as MPEG-4 and DivX video files. There's also a bundled remote control to go with the six or seven other remote controls littering your living room.
The frame comes with 256MB of internal Flash memory, two USB 2.0 slots and a multi-format card reader, making it very flexible indeed. Due out next month, it will cost around £110.-Martin Lynch

Which only leaves me asking (again), why do you need a 20 button remote control for a photo frame? Nice style, shame about the crap software/UI design.
Why on earth buy a digital photo frame when most portable DVD players have a 2-3 hour battery and can access thousands of photos on a CD or DVD and will also play movies? You can also pass it around your friends as it isn't tied to a mains power supply.
Frames are a rip-off containing no battery or DVD drive for much the same cost.
Its certainly a very stylish Digital Photo Frame and priced towards the top end of the market. I'm sure it will sell well for Toshiba.
Stylish looking but I think its too expensive considering there are loads of sub £50 7 inch frames out there in the market...
The looking and quality are worth their price, but 7 inch a little out of dates, there are loads of 10" or up avalible on the market!
@JohnF Remote control for Digital frame are same as its for TV, why do you need a remote for TV?
