I think 'bunny fronted' is duracel, not energizer
Nope, the 'Energizer Bunny' is a well known phenomenon, dating back several years.
Actually you are both right:
"The Duracell bunny predates the Energizer Bunny, which actually began as a parody of the Duracell bunny toys that became a collectible item."
"The Energizer Bunny does not appear in Europe and Australia where the rival Duracell Bunny is seen instead."
