There's nothing like a bit of 'customer demand'. The amount of companies that do things for their customers because of customer [and partner] demand is astounding.

Take Microsoft, which today extended the shelf-life of Windows XP because of, yes, you guessed it, good old customer demand. In the case of XP, it was probably less mannerly than that because existing Windows XP users and sellers of MS software have been hugely unhappy about being pushed to take up Vista, the pretty-looking but hardware-hogging replacement OS.
As a result, OEMs and retailers will be allowed to sell XP for another five months beyond the original cut-off date of January 31, 2008. In the understatement of the month, a Microsoft statement said:
“While we've been pleased with the positive response we've seen and heard from customers using Windows Vista, there are some customers who need a little more time to make the switch to Windows Vista.”

Apple folk tend to have more of an emotional attachment to their kit than PC people so it wouldn’t surprise me at all if this next add-on actually sells.
This is the ultimate bling add-on for your Mac: the gold plated MacBook Pro from Computer Choppers. The price of this 24-carat suit of gold runs between £620 and £780 and you can even have the Apple logo blinged out in gold, platinum, diamonds and sapphires - if your wallet isn’t already on fire.

Creative Launches Shuffle Clone September 28, 2007

Creative has gone back to basics with the launch of its latest, vanilla, screen-free MP3 stick, the Muvo T100.
Looking like a first-gen Shuffle, the 2GB or 4GB stick has a USB connector on one end that directly slots into a PC for storing data and music files. It is also used to power the player from your PC. Anything that reduces the cable count is a good thing.
That said, the rechargeable battery is good for around 10 hours playback which is average, at best , from a device this small. It measures 7.75 x 2.5 x 0.9cm and weighs 17.8g.
In the audio department, Creative players tend to be solid performers and there’s a Bass Boost button that promises to add some grunt to your tunes. It’s compatible with MP3, WMA/WMA (DRM9), and Audible Format 2, 3, 4 files.
