Now that Al Gore has snapped up a Nobel Peace Prize, he’s probably wanting to celebrate. Knowing Earth’s new green ambassador, he’s probably passing on the beer and using one of these: the Global Warming Mug.

If you ever feel your green ethics slipping a little – maybe you bought non-Fairtrade coffee this week – then just make your brew in this and, as the cup warms up, you can see the effects of climate change before your very eyes.

Watch Florida get swamped by the Atlantic [makes a change from it being blown away in hurricanes]. Guffaw loudly as valuable California real-estate imitates Atlantis and look on in horror as Central America drowns to become just a few islands.

Yes, this mug really is that environMENTAL. Yours for £6.50 here.-Martin Lynch

Hmm Martin, by mental I assume you mean 'Of or relating to the mind; intellectual: mental powers'. Therefore suggesting that the mug stimulates intelligent discussion.

Not of course, a cheap shot with reference to those with mental health problems!

I suppose we all have conflicts. Yours is between your sometimes cheap writing style and need to entertain vs your humanity. Mine is between my liking of shiny gadgets vs my desire to respect the environment.

Hey Fergus - you need to relax mate. It's a just an entertaining story, not an attack on the green movement. Sheesh, even Al Gore smiles now and then

Yeah fair enough! Perhaps I'll have a cup of tea.

David Kagan, author of Sunstroke, Art Bell's favorite Novel, will be drinking from one of these cups in his new Eco Thriller, a movie, called Doomwatch. I bought a dozen of these babies for all my friends. See ya.
