That’s the outcome of the 25th Golden Joystick Awards, the nation’s biggest gaming awards gig. Unlike the Wii-love in last week at the BAFTA 2007 Video Game Awards, these ones are all voted for by the public – not a panel of ‘experts’.
Gears of War for the Xbox 360 stormed home to snatch the Ultimate Game of the Year 2007 gong, along with Editors Choice, Xbox Game of the Year and Nuts All-Nighter awards.
The Wii, which cleaned up at the BAFTAs a few days ago, won just two here: Family Game of the Year award and the Wii itself rightly picked up Innovation of the Year.

Played it and loved it, I often find myself bored with new games especially of this genre and don't always play a game all the way through, but this one had me coming back for more and more - even with a damn x-box controller. Can't wait to play it on the PC, old school with a keyboard and mouse, true gamer style.
Yes I will play it again "Phoenix, when was the last time you heard the wind say hostiles?"
