Despite the multiple global bans, including the UK & Ireland, hackers have succeeded in restoring much of the violence into the controversial Manhunt 2.

Within 24 hours of the US launch of a doctored Manhunt 2 for the PSP, hackers succeeded in restoring – yes, the goriest bits were disabled, not removed – the game to its gory glory. The BBFC has already banned the game in the UK and recently rejected a watered down version of the game too.
An uncensored version of the PS2 game was recently leaked onto Web torrent sites - something game developer Rockstar, blamed on Sony.
So, despite all the furore and whether these developments are good or bad, it seems that Manhunt 2 is, and will be, available in its original form after all.-Martin Lynch

I think the game's developers were counting on the hackers for once.
