With Led Zeppelin being very well rewarded recently for getting their back catalogue online, it looks like the biggest of the digital music hold-outs – The Beatles – will hit the Net next year.
According to Sir Macca, speaking to Billboard, 2008 will be the year when the Fab Four’s extensive music repertoire will be available for download online.
“It's all happening soon. Most of us are all sort of ready. The whole thing is primed, ready to go - there's just maybe one little sticking point left, and I think it's being cleared up as we speak, so it shouldn't be too long. It's down to fine-tuning, but I'm pretty sure it'll be happening next year, 2008.”
Macca said the delays stemmed from ‘contractual’ niggles as well as everyone wanting to get the timing right. Fans have waited this long, so what’s a few more months?-Martin Lynch

How about AC/DC ... those guys are huge and still aren't available online, except through the crappy verizon store ... why not iTunes or eMusic or AmazonMP3?
Why AC/DC, Why?
