Having trouble nodding off at night? Counting sheep not working? Then you could probably do worse than spending £20 [or much less if you look around] for the Sound Asleep Pillow.
Just hook it up to your chosen iPod or MP3 player, choose your tunes and the sound comes through the soft hollowfibre filling, from an internal speakers. You might think that your other half would be less than pleased with being woken up in the middle of the night by the chirping Sounds Of Nature Vol. 1 but the makers claim that the sound can only be heard by those lying on the pillow.
In addition to music, you can use it for listening to audio books, learning a new language or even watching TV. God knows it has to be more comfortable than waking up in the morning with your earphones still in. Available now from Amazon, Argos and others.-Martin Lynch
