There's not many tiny, skinny portable video players you can buy for £50 but here's two.

Both are the same size as credit-cards, sporting decent sized screens and 2GB of internal memory. 2GB is not bad in something this small but thankfully it's expandable with MicroSD cards. There are two versions, the Neon with a 2.4in screen and the Ice with a slightly larger 2.8in display.

The keys are heat sensitive so they glow when touched which is a cute, if frivolous, feature. There is an internal speaker although you may be better off opting to use the bundled earphones for some decent sound. And let’s not forget the in-built FM radio and voice recorder. Key features include:

* Built in Storage: 2 GB
* Support USB mass-storage mode for easy transfer of videos on any OS
* Expandable Memory Slot - ICE (TransFlash/MicroSD), Neon M3 (T-Flash)
* Video: AVI, MPEG
* Voice Record: WAV
* Image Viewer: JPEG
* Video Playing Time: 3-4 hours
* Audio Playing Time: 6-8 hours
* Charges Via USB
* FM Radio, Text Viewer, Picture Viewer, Game
* Built-in External Speaker
* 3.5mm Stereo Earphone

Londoners Get 'Text-A-Loo' Service December 01, 2007

toilet1.jpg You know how it is: big city, lost, and you’re bursting for a wee and can you find a toilet? Can you heck!

Londoners however will never have to pee behind a dumpster again thanks to a new, if somewhat bizarre, initiative from Westminster City Council, which will allow those caught short to text a new service that will tell where the nearest public toilet is. I kid you not.

For 25p – yes 25p – you can text the SatLav service on 80097 with the word 'toilet' and it will pinpoint your location and then tell you which of the 32 public toilets is nearest. You’ll be happy to know that most of the toilets are free to use and you will be helping to reduce the estimated 10,000 gallons of urine that flow through London’s busy heart each year.

Alternatively, you can just go into a pub or MacDonald’s like everyone else.-Martin Lynch
