We all know time travel is possible because we saw Marty McFly do it in a DeLorean in 1985. So there.

All he needed was a Flux Capacitor housed in a DeLorean car – one that worked, that is – a dose of plutonium liberated from the Libyans and 1.21 jigawatts [I know, but that's how they pronounced it] of electricity. What better way to celebrate than getting your very own, full-sized capacitor from Diamond Select.

Measuring 16in tall and 12 in wide, this is an official, hand numbered Limited Edition of the one used in Back To The Future. Weighing in at 4.5lbs, it has fully adjustable lights and power settings.

It’s expected to ship next May but can be pre-ordered here for around £130. Just install it, buy some plutonium on eBay and get your mother's Fiat Punto up to 88mph and you're off! -Martin Lynch

wii small.jpg The Nintendo Wii is the most sought after product by UK shoppers in the run up to the Silly Season.

As panic sets in and children start throwing hastily scrawled shopping lists at their parents, new research from Hitwise has revealed that the humble, award-winning Wii console is the most popular search item online for fretting parents.

The Wii had 13 times more hits than even the iPod and twice as many as both the iPhone and iPod combined. The reason of course, apart from the popularity of the device of course, is the fact that Wii shortages are worsening and people are freaking out.

Robin Goad, Director of Research at Hitwise commented: “The Nintendo Wii was the most searched for product by UK Internet shoppers during November. There were thirteen times as many UK Internet searches for ‘nintendo wii’ sending traffic to the Hitwise Shopping and Classifieds category as there were for ‘apple ipod’, and over twice as many searches for ‘wii’ as for both ‘ipod’ and ‘iphone’. Despite shortages of the popular console in the UK, the volume of searches for ‘nintendo wii’ has increased 158% since November 2006, while searches for ‘wii’ have increased by 278%.”

And it’s not just the Wii doing well either for Nintendo, since the DS came in second followed, oddly, in third by Ugg boots. I don’t get it either.-Martin Lynch

The new 24 hour streaming will I'm sure be hugely popular with our customers. Our other music services such as MusicStore and dual downloads have set the pace for the market.”

Even if it doesn’t work, 49p a day is a cheap way to test the new service. At the very least you get to listen to new tunes without ads and the damn DJ interrupting every three minutes.-Martin Lynch
