I thought shelling out for a steering wheel and pedals would make me a racing god but I was wrong. In the face of the VRX MACH 4 racing simulator, I feel like someone who’s shown up to an F1 race in a child’s, yellow plastic pedal car with ‘go faster’ stripes on the side.

Billed as the world’s most advanced racing and entertainment simulator, the VRX Mach 4 takes gaming a whole new level. It uses four Xbox 360s to power three Sharp Aquos 37-inch 1080p LCD screens - the fourth one powers a 7in LCD screen that acts as a rear-view mirror. Insane!

There’s too much detail here to write about so here’s the rundown of the full feature list:

* 4 Microsoft Xbox 360’s
* 4 Copy's Forza Motorsport 2
* Xbox 360 Wireless Networking Adapter
* Microsoft Force Feedback Steering wheel
* 3 Sharp Aquos 37" LC-D62U 1080p HD LCD displays
* Adjustable rear view Power Acoustik (PTM 750) 7" LCD display
* Bose Acoustimass 10 series surround sound system with subwoofer
* Harmon Kardon AVR-144 Surround Sound receiver
* 1500 Watt Tactile Vibration Feedback System
* 1900 Watt Tactile Power Amplifier
* Virtual Wind System powered by 2 dual Honeywell fans with chrome shroud
* 1" CNC machined polished aluminium foot assembly that connects to the front of the VRX
* Universal triple screen aluminium mounting bracket that excepts LCD displays from 20" to 40"
* Adjustable aluminium and tinted acrylic component shelves
* On board power bar and unique wire way system conceals cables
* Polished chrome chassis with powder coated wheel mount and pedal mount

* Front and rear non-slip aluminium vibration dampeners
* 3M automotive chrome trim concealed edges
* Italian Sparco Monza racing seat (choice of Red/Black or Black/Silver)

* 3/D epoxy coated graphics
* Velcro and machined rubber grip blocks "prevents wheel and pedal movement"
* 10" diagonal and 8" horizontal wheel adjustments

It’s compatible with the Wii, Windows PC and the PS3 too. All you need is around £12,500 and it’s yours. Easy peasy. Jump for another shot.-Martin Lynch

Ferrari would badge your cat’s arse these days if you paid it enough. Motorola obviously has since there’s a new Ferrari-themed phone on the loose.

This is the Motorola Z8 Ferrari Limited Edition and yes, it opens up into that curvy banana shape. The specs are the same as the non-stamped Z8 [2MP camera with 8x zoom, VGA camera for video calling, music player, messaging, email, bluetooth, pretty display with 30fps playback etc.] which has been around for almost a year. This time around it has some horses on it. In addition, you will also get:

2 Ferrari videos
Pre-registration to the official Ferrari site
Ferrari wallpapers/ ringtones
A bundled copy of the ‘The Bourne Identity’ movie

It’s not official so there’s no pricing and it will not be here for Christmas. It’s due in Q1 2008.

If you’re a Porsche fan, check out the P9521 mobile phone. -Martin Lynch
