Nothing like cheaper prices to cheer in the New Year and Olympus is quickest off the blocks in the digital SLR (DSLR) arena with cuts of up to £150 off its excellent E410 and E510 cameras and kits.
The E410 camera now retails for £320, a reduction of £20, while the E510 now costs just £340. On the kit front, the E410 Single Lens kit, Double Zoom and Travel Kits have all had £50 lopped off and cost £350, £450 and £400, respectively.
Considering the massive leap in performance DSLRs represent over £200 digital compacts, the shrinking price gap makes getting a serious digital camera a lot more affordable for everyone. Bulkier yes, but the results are stunning.
The E510 Single lens Kit, Double Zoom kit and Travel Kit cost £450, £550 and £500. Happy shopping.-Martin Lynch
