Sony is bringing some armour to its latest compact camera with a titanium coating that ‘resists scratches’ because it just happens to be around five times tougher than anodised aluminium.
The new Cyber-shot W300 can shrug off all but the worst abuse and will take a nice snap too when it's not in the war zone. The camera boasts a cracking 13.6MP resolution which is high enough to allow for A3-sized enlargements. According to Sony, the W300 is the most technically advanced Cyber-shot to date. Well, it would say that.
The Anti-Theft Key February 26, 2008

As any self-respecting burglar will tell you in the shady corner of the pub, 99% of house locks can be picked.
Short of having deadbolts on every door in the home, it's a fact that most doors in use today are the security equivalent of Swiss cheese. What you really need then is a bendy key or, more specifically, the Anti-picking Theft Device from PRO invention, the people behind the very odd KISS phone concept.
The long flexible key reaches your lock along a curved tunnel that can’t be picked or drilled. And, for the forgetful type, the indicator on top of the key flashes the message ‘Open’ or ‘Closed’.
It’s cute but without companies producing bendy locks for the bendy key, it’s back to deadbolts, bear traps, electric fences, gun turrets and Rottweilers.-Martin Lynch

Keyboards were [are?] pretty much the most boring PC peripheral until news arrived about the first OLED-based Optimus Maximus keyboard back in .
Alongside the naff name, the keyboard from inspired/mad Russian Art Lebedev has been coming longer than the end of the world but, it is now shipping. Engadget gets its mitts on one here and takes you through the very sci-fi boot-up sequence, what the main features are how you can customise all of those OLED keys to represent whatever letter, number, symbol or function you want.
Of course, the price for all of this tech gravy is steep indeed with an asking price of almost £800. Yes, insane in more ways than one. But still cool.
You can check out Art demonstrating the keyboard himself earlier this year at the CES show here.-Martin Lynch
