iphone hand 1.jpg As expected, The BBC has launched a version of its iPlayer catch-up TV service for the iPhone and iPod Touch.

This is the first time the hugely popular download TV service has been extended to mobile devices. iPhone and Touch users will be able to stream programmes via Wi-Fi from the Net. No airwaves reception though.

The cursed grass cutting season is almost upon us again. What better way then to keep the green stuff trim with the least amount of effort than the new fully-automatic robot Automower, from leading mower maker, Husqvarna.

This autonomous robot mower is hybrid electric/solar powered device is capable of mowing 2,300 square meters of grass – that’s a fair bit - and is built from 90% recyclable components. Once you set up the wire perimeter with the supplied wire, the robot struts its stuff while you break out the Pimms. More importantly, the company claims the mower will save you 40 hours of mindless mowing each season. That’s a lot of Pimms.
