I liked the original Cylon troopers from Battlestar Gallactica, if for no other reason than they were the worst shots in the universe. Right up there with the Stormtroopers.

Maybe it had something to do with that damn light flashing back and forth on their visors. The series is back this days – completely overhauled – but there are still Cylons, even if they have gone on a diet and swapped CGI for the Sweaty-Human-In-A-Costume.

You can now get your very own life-size Cylon Centurion , all 7-ft of him/her/it, complete with visor light that’s synchronised with the trademark menacing hum.

Made from fibreglass by Fred Barton Productions it will set you back around £4,000. Or, if the Cylons are just too clinical, you can always opt for a dripping, incredibly detailed Alien for a more reasonable £2,600.-Martin Lynch
