The little Eee PC from Asus has created quite a stir since its launch and now we have the new and improved version, the Eee PC 900.
Shown off here first a few months back, it's launching here in the UK on May 1. The 900’s most noticeable difference is the bigger display, now at a yummy 8.9in, versus the 7in one from the original.
It also sports a better resolution of 1,024 x 600, up from 800 x 480. Sadly, the new model also uses the 900Mhz Celeron M processor and not the rumoured Intel Atom, which would have cranked things up on the performance front. Battery life is a healthy 3.5 hours.

If a dishwasher is not an option or you’re tired of watching the dirty dishes pile grow ever taller, then check out the latest ‘megasonic’ cleaner from Coway.
The SWV-08AM is designed to be fitted where your regular kitchen tap/faucet goes and uses sound waves, and water, to clean produce, meats, dishes, pots and pans with ‘little or no detergent’. According to the company:

Not so long ago, Denon launched a monster home cinema amp it described - oddly - as the ‘Imperial Death Star’ of home cinema rigs for a planet-destroying £10,000. Today, for a far more reasonable £3,700, you can get your mitts on Son Of Death Star, the Denon AVC-A1HD amp.
This is an all-singing, all-dancing home cinema mega-amp, designed to take your video pictures and audio and turn them into something much prettier and a hell of a lot louder. It’s a 7:1 integrated amp capable of delivering 7 x 170Watts of power into 6ohms, while the video processing is handled by the excellent REALTA sxT2 HQV processor, which will upscale all your regular DVDs to ‘near HD quality’ and even VHS video gets a clean-up.

If you’re a home cinema buff you may want to look away now but, if you’re in the market for a cheap way of throwing up some decent sized movies for the kids every now and then, stay tuned.
This is the Micro SD Card Projector – I think the ‘Micro’ refers to it being small and not the Micro SD card format, since this only seems to take regular SD Cards. Still, taking SD Cards is a handy way for showing some stored videos and photos instantly without the hassle of hooking up a dedicated player. There’s no detail on the formats supported, which is a shame.

iPhone shoppers still sitting on the fence may be happy to hear that O2 and Carphone Warehouse have announced a £100 price cut in the cost of the 8GB iPhone, starting today.
From today until June 1, the 8GB model will cost £169 but there are no price cuts planned for the 16GB version, which still costs a wallet-crunching £329. There are also no changes in the three tariffs on offer.
