wii nell.jpg Get your running shoes on if you’re not already cold and wet, standing in a queue on some High St. because today is the day that the Wii Fit comes to the UK.

Unless you have pre-ordered there’s no chance of you finding one online today but apparently there are around 300,000 units with retailers all over the country. You will still have to hurry and, possibly sacrifice a goat to some hoary old god to be granted the luck to locate one, because the £70 bundle is expected to fly, cartwheel and sprint off the shelves.

Hottie Nell McAndrew [pictured] and other celebs have been drafted in to help push it here but it’s unlikely that they’ll have to work too hard.

I just phoned up game station at 2pm on the off chance they might have some and found out they do!! So they have put one a side for me and I will collect it after work... I didn’t expect it to be so easy!

If anyone is after one PHONE your local store...

My local HMV has over 1000 in stock. They are also doing a bundle offer of Wii, game of choice, extra controller plus Wii Fit for £200.

This place http://www.softuk.com/ had them in all day on the 27th at £83.99, not the cheapest but if you gotta have one....
You could also try this Wii Fit stock checker, it gives a whole page of stockists in the UK for you to try. I have noticed that the prices are creeping up now just as they did with the Wii console itself when demand outstripped supply. Ebay usually has stock when all retailers have sold out but you will probably pay through the nose for it :o(
