I can’t count the number of times I’ve viciously yanked the earphones cord from my MP3 player or laptop, usually by forgetting it was there and sadly, those rare occasions when my embarrassing dancing gets just too wild and freaky.

Either way, it’s cost me money. Now, a little company called Replug has introduced a little £10 widget that will allow me to indulge my amnesia and dance dangerously all of the time without wrecking my gadgets.

The Replug Mini-Stereo Breakaway Adapter connects to your headphones and then to your audio socket of choice and, as the name implies, when force is exerted on the cable, it breaks away without damaging your earphones or player.

Sounds boringly simple but then a lot of the best little gadgets are. Find it here. -Martin Lynch
