How long do you have to wait before you start spoiling your kids. With this one-off gold pram, not very long indeed.

This blinged up Silver Cross Silver Shadow with in-built sound system was just snapped up at Harrods for a cool £6,000, thanks in large part to the £4,000-worth of 24k gold plating on every panel and the wheels.

The leather hood is trimmed with ermine fur and the inside is satin. And as for that ‘sound system’, forget your modern MP3 player tat here, as this one sports a clockwork music box filled with soothing nursery rhymes. A Harrods spokesperson commented to the Daily Mail:

"Whilst this particular item wouldn't appeal to all customers, we are fortunate enough to have a diverse range of customers who seek out the rare and unusual, which this certainly is. We do sell other Silver Cross prams which are fairly expensive but they are around £2,500 compared to the £6,000. They are popular - they are very Mary Poppins.”
