If you’re a fan of all things Wii but are loathe to pick up the new Wii Fit package because it sounds too much like healthy exercise, there’s a game on the horizon that might just convince you otherwise.

Family Ski (why didn’t they call it Wii Ski?) adds that much needed element of competition as well as appealing to winter sport types with a range of races and tricks to master and a full ski resort to explore if you fancy a bit more of a leisurely cruise around the slopes.

The remote and nunchuck can be used as virtual ski-poles, and though you can still play the game without the Wii board we don’t think it’ll be half as fun as being able to use the pressure sensors to control your movement.

There are plenty of customisable elements to the game as well, such as changeable clothing, accessories, new characters to unlock and new areas to venture into.

Wii Family Ski is expected across Europe on the 13th of June and will set you back about £39.99. We’d imagine it’d be quite fun to play when you’re piste. – Paul Lester
