Satellite dishes aren’t exactly a rare sight these days, being plastered to the outsides of half the properties in the UK.
In fact they’re common enough that the average Joe wouldn’t even notice one, but if you are concerned about a not entirely ugly black dish affecting the aesthetic beauty of your home there’s an alternative available that should tidy things up a bit.
The ‘Sqish’ is a contemporary alternative to the satellite dish, and does actually offer added advantages in areas like coastal towns where dishes are prone to rust and those with planning restrictions.
It can receive Sky and Freesat in the UK, measures roughly the same size as your average dish and is available with some rather cunning camouflage to render it almost invisible at a glance.
You might think this to be some sort of James Bond style invisible coating by the picture, but in fact it’s simply a UV-stable matt-finish sticker you can attach by providing the manufacturer with a digital photo of the wall it’ll be mounted on.
We actually quite like the idea, and being quite reasonably priced starting at £149 wouldn’t be surprised to see a few more of these popping up over the next year. – Paul Lester
