Following TomTom’s announcement of its 930T with new IQRoutes and Advanced Lane Guidance features, it has now confirmed availability of the entire x30 range.

If you’ve been put off by the rather expensive £399 price tag of the line-leading 930T (and don’t need maps of the USA, Canada and Russia, for example) you’ll be pleased to know there are cheaper models available.

Following the launch of Freesat we’d expect most people to be itching to try it out, if only for the free HD channels so you can take full advantage of your HD TV.

In order to do so you’ll either have to pick up a Freesat enabled TV, or buy a dedicated set-top box, four of which were conveniently announced following the launch.

HTC TouchDiamond.jpg

We’ve had our fair share of ground-breaking mobile phones over the last year, not least of which was the iPhone, which is set for re-release with much vaunted 3G data and a likely overhaul.

Following a recent announcement from HTC it seems as though Apple will have quite a fight on its hands, and since we’re loathe to use the ‘K’ word (since it’s already lost all meaning in this context) we’ll settle for saying that at least on paper, it’s one of the most impressive mobiles we’ve ever seen.

sony bluetooth walkman 2.jpg Last week, Gizmodo and Sony gave one lucky Giz fan a chance to win one of the sexy new 16GB Bluetooth Walkman Video MP3 players.

The NWZ-A829 Walkman is a slinky piece of kit, packing outstanding audio and video performance in a minimalist-styled, Size 0 device. We reviewed it here. Last week we asked you lot three simple questions in order to be in with a chance to own one. We have had an outstanding response to the competition but, sadly, there can be only one [sorry].

gta iv shotgun.jpg GTA IV has racked up almost 1 million sales in its first five days making it the biggest All Formats No. 1 game launch ever.

The figure of 926,000 games sold in 5 days represented a whopping 61.2% of all games software sold for that week. Chart Track estimates that those games translated into almost £40 million in sales revenue for Take 2/Rockstar. In fact, those sales of GTA IV alone were bigger than any one week of software sales this year, except for the first week in January.

Table soccer or table football or foosball or, whatever the hell you call it, is a lot of fun. It’s even more fun when you’re drunk and playing it with 3 friends instead of 1. But how much more fun could you have if there was 22 of you playing, 11 per side, just like the real thing?

Meet the Table Football XXL, built by Airworks, as part of an Amstel advertising stunt for the European Champions League. I know that you’d need a really big room and probably a whole lot more friends than you currently have but, I’d imagine this could be the ultimate pseudo-football experience.

7g keyboard.jpg Gaming keyboards are often outlandish looking affairs, throwing in space-age looks and strip bar lighting with all that advanced functionality but, the same can definitely not be said about the new SteelSeries 7G keyboard.

This minimalist black slab is all business. You'd never guess from its understated looks that it uses 18-carat gold plated mechanical switches with a lifetime of around 50 million operations – around 10 times more than a typical “membrane" keyboard - which makes it tougher than old boots. SteelSeries also maintains that the 7G eliminates ‘anti-ghosting’ by supporting as many simultaneous key presses as you can manage without slowing down responses.

david reeves sony ceo.jpg Yesterday was PlayStation Day, apparently, and Sony announced the kind of news that it’s been praying for, for more than a year: the PS3 has outsold the Xbox 360 in Europe.

The company announced that the PS3 has now topped 5 million in sales, overtaking the Xbox 360 which launched a lot earlier and has been consistently cheaper. Maybe there’s something to this Blu-ray lark after all?

A ‘delighted’ David Reeves [pictured], SCEE president and CEO announced:

"I am delighted to be able announce today that we have sold more PlayStation 3's throughout Europe than Xbox 360 - even though they launched sixteen months before PS3.”
