A keyboard is a keyboard is a keyboard – most of the time. Some, however, glow in the dark, others are the barking, but cool, Optimus Maximus OLED keyboard, while some like these hand-painted keyboards successfully fuse some cool Japanese art motifs with a normally boring peripheral.

As you can see, the attention to detail on these USB keyboards is quite something – just look at those floral patterns on each key. Of course, this is great for touch typists but the rest of us 2-3 finger typists might have trouble finding the right letters. Still it is very pretty.

There are five other designs available too and the boards cost around £75 a pop here – art ain’t cheap, you know?

You can see some shots of the others below and yes, that last one would probably make you hurl all over your display if you had to use it for any length of time.-Martin Lynch

Ok, that last one is just ridiculous! How can you see the letters?
