Apple UK & US: No More iPhones May 12, 2008

apple-store.jpg Last week, we covered the news that a page on the O2 Web site stated that there were no more iPhones for sale and now it looks like the unavailability trend is catching.

Apple’s online stores in the US and UK are now citing ‘No availability’ for either the 8GB or 16GB versions of the iPhone.

While this may upset those that have been saving hard to buy one, they can take some solace in the fact that this points to an imminent launch of the long awaited 3G iPhone. Speculation from usually well-informed sources over recent months held it was on the way in the coming weeks and that now looks very likely indeed.

It could launch within a week [unlikely] or, since Apple really likes cranking up the tension in order to whip the masses into a foaming, shopping frenzy, it could be as much as 4 weeks out.-Martin Lynch
