Creative’s original Muvo player was one of the smallest MP3 players around at the time and did quite well for itself amongst a swathe of chunky rivals.

The redesigned Muvo T100 slipped in pretty much unnoticed last year and was subsequently bettered by the Zen Stone, but this hasn’t stopped it from releasing a sequel.

The Muvo T200 now sports a full colour display, showing typical information such as menu structure and track information. Like the rest of the range it’s a flash-drive in itself, with a protective cap covering the USB connector so you can hook it up directly to a computer to copy tunes. There’s a radio and voice recorder built in and you can expect 9 hours of playback from a single charge.

There’s no doubt that there is a degree of convenience involved with the Muvo design, particularly if you’ll make good use of it as a flash drive as well, but we can’t help but feel a little underwhelmed by the company's response to some pretty impressive new entries from rivals.

2GB and 4GB versions are available now from the Creative store for £35.99 and £47.99 respectively. – Paul Lester
