Manufacturers seems to have caught on to the fact that while there’s nothing wrong with cramming elaborate technology into a wrist watch per se, we just don’t like walking around feeling like there’s a 2kg lead weight strapped to the arm.

The EP2502 watch mobile phone certainly looks pretty classy, and not quite as chunky as the world’s first watch phone.

From the photo this is a lot to do with the fact that the 1.3” OLED touchscreen is showing off a nice collection of timers, but you’ll also find it can play back mp4 movies, mp3 music and features a built in 2MP camera.

Thankfully it also has Bluetooth built in, so you’ll be able to utilise a compatible headset to chat away when you’re on the go. Even more surprising is that it’s allegedly waterproof, the ‘world’s first waterproof mobile phone’ no less.

We’re actually really impressed by the specifications and appearance, but have been let down in this area before so would be keen to get our hands on one for a proper test.

If you want to take the plunge you’ll be pleased to hear that it’s priced very reasonably at just $299 (about £150) on SurprisingGift.com. – Paul Lester
